Perrie Edwards breaks silence on Zayn split
The Little Mix singer was asked on US TV about how she was handling the break up...
Perrie Edwards struggled to hold back tears as she was asked on US TV channel E! about her break up with Zayn Malik.
Shortly after the news broke she was interviewed along with the rest of her Little Mix bandmates. The host asked her: "Perrie, obviously I know it's a very tough time for you with the news breaking today about you and Zayn, so your fans, I know, are heartbroken."
She replied "good, thank you" Bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock then said they didn't want to talk about it and were there to get their nails done instead.
A representative for Malik confirmed that the couple have ended their relationship but no more details are available. The couple had been together since 2012, shortly after Little Mix won The X Factor.
Zayn broke his silence on Twitter but didn't mention the break up. He tweeted this picture of a flower on a piano.
He then followed it up with a tweet about music.
Little Mix are currenly on a promo tour in the US.
