Rita Ora settles Roc Nation lawsuit, signs new record deal

It looks like it's all over

Rita Ora has reportedly settled her lawsuit with Jay-Z’s record label Roc Nation out of court.

The disagreement has been ongoing since December 2015 when Rita filled a lawsuit against the label claiming ‘she no longer had a relationship with anyone at the company’ and that she has been ‘orphaned’ by them.

Roc Nation then countered Rita’s claims and sought $2.4 million in damages for ‘marketing, recording and other costs which were instrumental in guiding Ms. Ora to her current level of success and fame.’

Rita was one of Roc Nation’s first signings, her contract was for five albums with the record label but Rita only released ‘Ora’ in 2012.

A document filed to the New York Supreme Court shows the pair have settled out of court. Now, Rita’s been hinting on Snapchat that she’s already signed with another record label. She posted up a photo of pieces of a paper with the caption ‘Contract time!!’
