Sam Faiers shares picture of new baby Paul and defends name choice
She gave birth to her first child in December.
The Only Way is Essex star Sam Faiers has shared a cute family picture and hit back at internet trolls who made fun of her baby’s name.
The new mum called her baby boy Paul Tony, named after his father and uncle.
Some people on social media mocked the name, with one commenting that it sounded like ‘a middle aged man's name’ and another person calling the name ‘awful’.
But other fans were more supportive. Sam posted one of the fan’s comments on Instagram and captioned it with ‘Couldn’t have put it better myself’.
Speaking to OK magazine, she said “We always wanted him to be called Paul after his dad.
"It's traditional and we didn't have any other names on the list, so he's Paul and his middle name is Tony after Paul's brother, his uncle Tony. '
"We call him Baby Paul or just 'baby' at the moment. We haven't called him Paul yet.'
Sam and her partner Paul Knightley welcomed their first child into the world on the 29th December.
