Simon Cowell reduces David Walliams to tears over divorce
Comedian got emotional while filming for Britain's Got Talent.
Simon Cowell has reduced David Walliams to tears while filming the new Britain’s Got Talent, by making a joke about his divorce.
The two are known for their playful banter but according to judges, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden, sometimes the jokes go too far.
Speaking on Alan Carr's Chatty Man Amanda said:
"David asked me, “What shouldn’t I say to Simon?” I said don’t mention his height, his love life, all these things, and he just went in and did them all."
Earlier this year, while filming the auditions for the new series, Simon asked a contestant why she wasn’t married.
David turned and asked why Simon hadn't popped the question to girlfriend Lauren Silverman and Simon quipped “Well, why aren’t you married?”.
Although some thought the joke had gone too far, the men fortunately put it behind them.

The comedian began dating model Lara Stone in 2009 and the pair were wed a year later in London.
However in September 2015 David filed for divorce citing ‘unreasonable behaviour’ and the couple were granted a decree nisi.
They have a two-year-old son together called Alfred.
