Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris have overtaken Jay-Z and Beyoncé as the highest paid celebrity couple.

US publication Forbes will publish its annual Celebrity 100 on Monday, which lists the world’s top earning entertainers over the past 12months.

Both Taylor and Calvin will make the Celebrity 100 with their individual earnings but it’s their joint income that propels them to the summit of the Highest Paid Celebrity Couples list.

It’s estimated that the couple, who have only been dating since March, jointly earned an incredible $146million (£93million) in the past year thanks to music sales, Taylor’s huge tour, Calvin’s ultra-lucrative DJ sets and a variety of product endorsements.

Previously thought to be untouchable on the couples rich list, Jay-Z and Beyoncé slipped to second spot with meagre earnings of $110.5million (£70million).

Their vast earnings come from Queen Bey’s ‘On The Run’ tour (the fifth highest grossing tour of 2014), the continued success of Jay-Z’s Roc Nation imprint and commercial deals with Armand de Brignac champagne, D’Ussé cognac, Pepsi, H&M and many more.

Although they’re not as well known in the UK, country superstar couple Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are in third spot with $57million (£36million).

Despite their staggering wealth, all the celebrity couples have a long way to go to get near to hip-hop kingpin Dr Dre’s bank balance.

Last year it was estimated that Dr Dre earned an eye-popping $620million (£394million) between June 2013 and 2014 mainly from the sale of his Beats high-end headphone company to Apple.
