Vicky Pattison showed her vulnerable side on Loose Women today during an experiment about self-image which left her in tears.

Vicky took part in the experiment alongside fellow panelists Colleen Nolan, Jane Moore and Kaye Adams which involved each member thinking about what was going through their minds when it came to their own self-image.

As Vicky watched a clip of herself saying what negative thoughts she had, the former Geordie Shore star started to cry saying, ‘I feel really stupid hearing that back’.

She then opened up saying ‘I try so hard to put on this persona, this brave face that you’re strong and that you’re hard and that the things people say don’t affect you. I feel like I’m fighting a losing battle with negativity on social media.

'People tearing strips off you is never nice. I get everything, people telling me I don’t deserve it, and people judging me on my past.'

The I'm a Celebrity winner went on to say, 'I don’t want to be that role model who tells little girls you need to listen to these people. It is demoralising!'

Vicky was bombarded with abuse on social media after unflattering photos of her in a bikini were published, but wants to fight back against the bodyshamers saying, 'I want to say, it's alright to be normal, it's already to have a day off.'

Since the airing of the programme earlier today Vicky received plenty of support on Twitter.

The 28-year-old has since thanked her supporters on saying 'So overwhelmed by all your amazing support and messages after my appearance on this afternoon's Loose Women.'
