Coldplay’s headlining Glasto set on Sunday night was seriously special for one lady. As during the band’s set on the Pyramid Stage, her fella got down on one knee and popped the question.
Charlotte Cassidy broke down in tears and shook as the proposal happened during the band’s performance of ‘Fix You’. With fellow festival goer Sarah McCurdie capturing the moment and then posting it on the Glastonbury 2016 Facebook page to reunite the couple with the snap.
Future groom Colin Priest later posted a video of the proposal on Facebook with the caption ‘Someone videoed the moment I asked my now wife to be Charlotte Cassidy to marry me. And with the help of great people out there, somehow it made its way to us. Happiest moment of my life.’
Fans getting engaged at their concerts is fast becoming a theme for Coldplay. Last week fans Brad Schofield and Marie Parlanti got engaged during the band’s Wembley gig, with the proposal again happening as the band performed their track ‘Fix You’.
