Nadiya Hussain won the nation's hearts during last year's Great British Bake Off and now she's won the Queen's too.

Talking on Loose Women earlier today (15th April) Nadiya revealed that a few weeks ago she was asked the ultimate question, would she bake the Queen's 90th birthday cake?

On the show she recounted how her agent called her with the question. She was given the option to say 'no', but of course she didn't, "I'm going to do it" she said, "I can't say no to the Queen can I?"

The mother of three said when she told her young daughter she was going to bake a birthday cake for the Queen her daughter mistook the Queen for Mary Berry saying, "Oh Mary Berry? You’ve made lots of cakes for Mary Berry".

When asked about the type of cake Nadiya said she has decided to stay away from fruit cake as it can be hard to cut, instead opting for softer orange drizzle cake with orange curd and buttercream. The GBBO winner will then personally deliver the finished product to Buckingham Palace on the Queen's birthday next Thursday.

Although incredibly excited about the opportunity Nadiya is also very nervous, so much so that she can't even look at the oven!

Since announcing the news the 31-year-old has been inundated with good luck messages on social media.
