Despite all of the recent drama between the two, which included reports that Coleen Rooney had 'taken off' her wedding ring, former England footballer Wayne Rooney has paid a cute tribute to his wife for her 33rd birthday.
Wayne, who now plays football out in America, shared a lovely photo of the two, writing, 'Happy Birthday @coleen_rooney ❤️'. sic
The message comes just months after reports suggested the couple's marriage was 'on the rocks' again.
After Coleen found it in her heart to forgive Wayne following his drink driving charge and 'cheating' rumours in late 2017, rumours suggested she'd taken her ring off earlier this year when Wayne was photographed taking shots with a barmaid in America.
However, Coleen and Wayne have yet again put the rumours behind them, and recently enjoyed a family holiday in Barbados, with their four children, Kai, Kit, Klay and Cass.
After getting married in June 2008, Coleen and Wayne's marriage appeared to be almost over in 2017, after the footballer was accused of 'cheating' after being spotted in a car with another woman.
She wrote, ''No, I’m not taking Wayne back as he's never left. Yes, it has been a s--- time, and yes, time was spent apart and I thought my marriage might have been at an end. There’s been so many stories in the press, so many sources chipping in, so called friends having their say and a few well-known names giving their opinion.
She then added, "Wayne doesn't get portrayed for the person he is in the press, he has always had a hard time. I’m not going to list his good qualities as a person as I don't think he deserves it at this time but one thing is that he is a brilliant dad. He's made silly and selfish mistakes, some he's learnt from, some obviously not. However maybe that will change?
