Will Poulter & Domnhall Gleeson on The Revenant and Leonardo DiCaprio

The films on the path to picking up all the big awards at the Oscars.

The Revenant's likely to walk away from this years awards season with a lot of statues. It's already picked 3 Golden Globes - for Best Motion Picture, leading actor for Leonardo DiCaprio and best director for Alejandro Inarritu. It's also picked up 8 nominations at The BAFTA's.

It's based on the true story of Hugh Glass, who was an American fur-trapper in the 1800's. During an expedition his group was attacked, but a small group manage to flee and attempt to make their way back to safety - but endure freezing and difficult conditions. On the way Hugh was mauled by a bear and eventually left for dead by the rest of his crew - however he crawled and stumbled 200 miles back to the neaest Fort.

As well as Leonardo DiCpario in the lead role the film stars Tom Hardy, while upcoming actors Will Poulter and Domnhall Gleeson also play key members of the crew.
