Olly Alexander reveals details of what fans can expect from 'The Night Call Tour'

Olly Alexander released his brand new album 'Night Call' on 21st January, which is the first album from Years & Years since it became a solo project for Olly. He joined the Hits Radio Breakfast Show to chat about his incredible start to 2022 and his upcoming 'The Night Call Tour'.

Olly spoke about his tour, which is scheduled to start in May this year, and revealed what fans can expect from his shows: "If anybody managed to catch a little bit of my New Year's Eve show, that was like a little taster of what the show is going to be."

The 'Sooner Or Later' singer had an incredible start to 2022, when he hosted a New Year's Eve show on BBC One, performing with the iconic Kylie Minogue and legendary duo The Pet Shop Boys. Commenting on the experience, he said: "It was a dream, it was all just amazing. I can't believe I got to do that, I was so honoured to have that slot, to host that celebration for 2022 for the Great British public. It was amazing, it was amazing!"

If Years & Years' performances at Hits Live in November and his New Year's Eve show are anything to go by, you won't want to miss his tour performances!

Olly also gave an insight into how preparation for the tour was shaping up: "So I'm at the moment getting it together, but it’s going to be a very queer, very fun, party vibe. I just want to give the people the best night of their life. That's all I want."

'The Night Call Tour' will take Olly across the UK and Ireland throughout May and June 2022, where he will visit Brighton, Bournemouth, Birmingham, London, Manchester, Dublin and Glasgow.

In the lead-up to her 'Midnights' album being released on 21st October, the official Taylor Swift website confirmed that the singer would be heading on a UK tour.


Although no exact dates were announced, they did reveal that fans that pre-ordered the album through the website would get an access code for the tour ticket pre-sale.

Lewis Capaldi

Following on from his return to music with 'Forget Me', Lewis Capaldi revealed his second album 'Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent' would be released on 19th May. At the same time, he revealed he would be heading on tour across the UK in January and February 2023.

Maroon 5 are heading on tour across Europe and the UK in 2023. They have a huge show at The O2 in London on 3rd July.

Diversity - 'Supernova'

Britain's most-successful dance group, Diversity will be taking their all-new 'Supernova' tour on a 64-date run around the UK in 2023 and 2024.

Joel Corry - 2023 tour

Joel Corry will embark on his biggest tour yet in 2023, performing Belfast, Glasgow, and Cardiff, amongst other places.

The Years & Years singer also opened up about the importance of LGBT+ History Month, which is observed in February every year. He reflected: "I think as a gay person growing up you can feel really disconnected to your past, your history, or it can just be really confusing to know who to reach out to. You might not have those family members for instance that might be able to give you a helping hand."

Olly also revealed how important the LGBTQ+ community has been for him: "Seeking out your community is super important, and then knowing how your community was formed, where it came from, how it affects other communities, that’s just really helpful information. For me anyway it’s always been so helpful and helped me understand myself."
