When you get home to find a 'missed parcel' note from your postie it's usually followed by a sigh of disappointment. Has your parcel been returned to the depot or given to a neighbour that you don't talk to?

Luckily for Sam Cooke from Manchester his postie was resourceful and he didn't have to go far for his parcel.

However there was one catch...

When Sam returned home he picked up two cards, one saying he had popped the parcel through the window with another one saying, 'I'm really sorry, I think your parcel might have fallen in the toilet accidently.' sic

And indeed, that's where Sam found it, posting his find on Twitter!

The 22-year-old said luckily the parcel was 'too wide to hit the water', however his photo clearly shows the parcel down the toilet.

After tweeting about the unusual place he found his parcel, the Royal Mail have apologised, but Sam saw the funny side of it saying,

'There's honestly nothing to apologise for, the parcel is absolutely fine, gave me and thousands of others a good laugh that's all 👍🏻'

However he has been assured that the postman will be stopping by to apologise, although he reiterated he had 'nothing to be sorry about'.
