Disney are currently in the middle of what fans are calling their 'Revival Era' - mainly because they're on a mission to remake their classics as live-action films. In the past five years alone, we've had redo's of Beauty and the Beast, The Jungle Book and Cinderella, among many more.

We also know that there's a new version of The Lion King in the works, which is set to be released next July, as well as an Aladdin film slated for release in May 2019 and a new Mulan offering on the way in the next couple of years.

Today, Disney dropped a brand new trailer for the Dumbo remake, which is set to be released in March 2019. The first trailer, which debuted on YouTube in June this year, outlined how the new film would be similar to the original version, released in 1941.

But the brand new trailer has shown how the new version will differ from the original, and what new ideas director Tim Burton has come up with to refresh the story.

Whilst the original film focussed on Dumbo, his mouse friend Timothy and his flying abilities, the new movie will have more to do with his life at the circus and his human friends.

However, there's one moment from the original which has been kept in and expanded upon - when Dumbo is separated from his mum and goes to find her, resulting in a heartbreaking elephant hug through the cage she's locked in.

Of course, the moment made fans incredibly emotional, and many took to Twitter to share their feelings. One wrote, 'I am in tears' as another added, 'What a beautiful trailer, the Baby Mine cover is heartbreaking and the animation on Dumbo is extraordinary. So much emotion and heart conveyed in the eyes.'

Another tweeted, 'I think this is the first time I actually cried during a trailer. Him tripping over his ears then with his mom, I was literally bawling my eyes out' and one other wrote, 'This is just a trailer and I'm already in tears, that part when they separate Dumbo and his mom and when he trips, I'm gonna go now, I'm still crying as I'm writing this.'

Although the cast isn't enormous, it is made up of quite a few big names. Led by Colin Farrell as war veteran and former circus performer Holt Farrier, Thandie Newton's real-life daughter Nico Parker will also be making her on-screen debut as Holt's daughter Milly, who befriends the timid elephant.

Michael Keaton will star as the film's villain, V. A. Vandemere, who wants to exploit Dumbo for money; Danny DeVito stars as a circus owner, Eva Green as a trapeze artist and Alan Arkin also stars in the film.

The movie, which is currently still in the filming process, is being directed by Tim Burton, best known for making The Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride, and more recently directing the Disney remakes of Alice In Wonderland and its sequel, Alice Through The Looking Glass

Dumbo is set to be released on 29th March 2019.
