Actress Elizabeth Hurley joined Angellica, James and Matt on Hits Radio to talk about her new film Strictly Confidential, and the possibility of a new Austin Powers film.

Back in 1997 Elizabeth Hurley joined Mike Myers in the hugely popular film Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, later reprising her role in the 1999 sequel.

There was also a third film released in 2002 Austin Powers: Goldmember, which starred Beyoncé, but we wanted to know if Elizabeth would be up for reprising her role of Vanessa Kensington in a potential fourth Austin Powers film.

Will there be a fourth Austin Powers film?

Mike wrote, produced and starred as Austin and several other characters in the popular films, and over the years he has talked about doing a fourth film.

Speaking about the idea of a fourth film, Elizabeth said: "Mike (Myers) was one of my favourite people in the world, I loved him. He was brilliant, a brilliant, brilliant comedian. I know he keeps talking in the press that he might do another Austin Powers.

"I don't know if he will... I don't know. Would I do it? He wanted me to, of course I would, I love Mike, I think he's a genius. I don't think I've been to those costumes anymore.

"Austin always said that he was gonna be like James Bond, he was gonna have a different girl every movie, which he did."

Elizabeth Hurley's new film Strictly Confidential

During the interview, Elizabeth also told us about the new film she's starring in which is written and directed by her son Damian. Elizabeth who also produced the new film, explained: "It's a mystery which unfolds very gently, betrayal, loyalty, bad behaviour, you know, ultimately being responsible for your actions.

"It's all touched on very lightly, but yeah you do always leave thinking have I always been my best self to everyone? No I probably haven't! Is there time to make amends? Maybe, not always."

The actress admitted that she didn't have to audition for the part she plays, however she's not getting paid! She told the team that originally she was meant to be playing a much smaller part, which was just in flashbacks. However, her son decided to swap the husband and wife roles in the film, so now her role appears throughout the film, including in an adult scene, which she revealed wasn't difficult to film, even in front of her son.

"Yeah, there has been a lot of talk about it (the adult scene), but it wasn't like he'd crept into my bedroom with a camcorder. We were on the set, it was professional, you know, there were 50 people in the room, like there always is. And I think if anybody's ever done any kind of adult scene, you'll know that they're not sexy.

"There's a lot of people in the room. In our case, it was one of five or six scenes we were shooting on one day and he only had 18 days to shoot this and not a big budget.

"So everything was fast. It was a quickie! It was all about getting the shot, moving on. It was challenging, but it wasn't remotely embarrassing or... Not remotely weird, it's just a job."
