Zac Efron caused a stir when he shared a photo of his grandparents going on a date night to see his new film Baywatch - and it's got their seal of approval.

He told us he got a text from them which read: "We loved it and we stayed up through the whole thing."

And that meant a lot to Zac, with him telling us: "My grandpa's opinion matters more than anyone else's in the world, and that he liked it, that's all I care about it. If it made him laugh, it made him happy, then I'm a happy dude".

And just look how happy Zac's Grandparent's look in the photo he posted:

We also learned that Zac has a rather unusual hobby - in the form of Escape Rooms.

Yep, in his free time Zac willingly gets locked in a room and does puzzles and challenges to get out.

If you don't fancy trying to find Zac in a locked room, you can see him on the big screen in Baywatch, which is a remake of the original hit TV show.

He plays Matt Brody, a disgraced Olympic swimmer who joins a team of lifeguards led by Dwayne 'The Rock' J**ohnson - who plays Mitch Buchannon**.

But the Baywatch crew are far from your regular life guards, and they end up investigating what appears to a be a criminal gang operating on their shores.

To take on the role Zac shredded nearly every inch of body fat and told us this was very much a character choice.

According to his co-star Alexandra Daddario, watching the dedication Zac made to his work out routine was inspirational.
