The biggest selling artists of 2017 have been revealed by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, which represents the international recorded music industry worldwide.
The prestigious list includes the likes of American DJ duo The Chainsmokers, rock band Linkin Park and GRAMMY performer Bruno Mars.
However, when it comes to the top five there is no surprise that artists such as rapper Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift, Drake and Ed Sheeran all made it.
With Eminem recently making a huge comeback with his single 'River' featuring Ed Sheeran, and his number 1 album 'Revival' he finds himself at number five. However, when it comes to the top spot, the fantastic Ed Sheeran beats the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and Taylor Swift, who is the only female artist in the list.

10. The Chainsmokers
Ed has had a phenomenally successful year with the release of his album 'Divide' and many hit singles including 'Shape of You' and 'Perfect'.
Last week Ed Sheeran won another BRIT Award, this time for Global Success. We caught up with the singer backstage at the BRITs where he told us he was feeling quite relaxed about his BRITs performance this year.
He went on to explain that last year there was a lot going on, on the stage, however this time it's just a piano, a bass and some backing singers.
We also asked Ed about a number of different rumours that have been circulating, namely the one that he is already married, whether or not he will be at the Royal wedding and if he is going to give up pop music.

When we asked Ed about the ring on his finger he was hesitant to reply, however he has since said he isn't married. Speaking on Good Morning Britain Ed denied the rumours the couple had married in secret, explaining he is wearing an engagement ring.
Later this year Ed will embark on another tour and he has recently announced that pop star Anne-Marie will be supporting him on tour. The singer took to Twitter to announce the exciting news, writing, 'THE SECRET IS FINALLY OUT. I am supporting my favourite human on tour this year! I can't wait @edsheeran ❤️❤️ this is gan be FUN!' sic
Meanwhile Anne-Marie has recently confirmed the release date for her new album 'Speak Your Mind'. Speaking to us at The BRITs she told us that she has just finished a collaboration with Ed Sheeran. "I've collaborated with Ed, I literally finished the song yesterday," she told us.
