Girls Aloud Start Countdown To Comeback!

They end their three-year hiatus

Girls Aloud are set to reunite for their tenth anniversary!

A 10-day countdown started on the girls’ official website this morning under the title ‘TEN’ ahead of the official announcement next week

It's thought that Cheryl, Nadine, Sarah, Nicola and Kimberley have already filmed a music video for their new single, which apparently will be released for Children In Need.

As well as the website countdown, an official Girls Aloud Twitter page - @girlsaloud - has been set up with the same ‘TEN’ picture as a profile image.

Expect further details about the single and reunion when the countdown ends next week.

In July 2009 Girls Aloud announced they were taking a year long hiatus so they could focus on their solo careers and other projects.

They briefly got back together to support Coldplay and Jay-Z at Wembley Stadium but a planned return and new album in 2010 never materialised.

From 2002 to their hiatus in 2009, Girls Aloud clocked up an astonishing 20 consecutive top ten singles including four number ones.

All five of their albums achieved platinum status in the UK with 2006’s best of compilation ‘The Sound of Girls Aloud’ selling 1million copies.
