The release had some technical difficulties
Jason Derulo has premiered his new ‘Want To Want Me’ music video on mobile dating app Tinder.
The 25-year-old released the video earlier this week, although many Tinder users were unable to see it due to technical difficulties.
However speaking to US Weekly, Jason explained his decision to put his video on the dating app, claiming it was the “perfect place” to release the single.
He said: “Social media and dating together is the new wave. It is the source of one half of the relationships in 2015, and I’m all about being part of the new wave.
“A lot of my friends and family are on Tinder… it’s the perfect place for my new single ‘Want You To Want Me’.
"On Tinder you swipe left or right and want the person you like to want you, too. It is a cool and unique way to deliver my new video to the world.”

Although he is happy to place his new single on Tinder, Derulo says he would only consider using it himself if there was an exclusive celebrity version.
He said: “I’d probably meet some huge fans, but otherwise it’s not a safe bet. Maybe if they come up with a version of Tinder for celebrities, then I would do it. I do think it is a beautiful thing and works.”
