Lady Gaga has hit out at Calvin Harris after the Scottish solo artist and super producer revealed he turned down the chance to collaborate with her.

Speaking on BBC Breakfast this morning, 28-year-old Calvin said he snubbed working with Gaga before she hit the big time in 2008 because he "didn't really like the songs."

Reacting angrily to Calvin’s comments, Gaga wrote on Twitter: “Seems to be trendy lately to talk shit about "lady gaga" when your albums/singles drop. Y'all should live off your own hustle. #Ido”

She added: “never even emailed you @calvinharris I guess it's hard to believe I write + produce my music. cuz I'm a woman I don't know about EDM right?”

In response to the wrath of Gaga’s faithful on Twitter, Calvin said: “Jeez you turn down one remix in 2008 and next thing the whole world's on your back.

“The illuminati's after me lol. Never mind I'll just keep making tracks.”

We’ll wait Gaga’s reply with baited breath!

Calvin Harris’s third studio album ’18 Months’, featuring the chart topping Florence Welch collaboration ‘Sweet Nothing’, is out today.
