The amazing Mabel joined us backstage at Hits Live Birmingham on Saturday 4th May, before she took to the stage to perform some of her biggest hits.

The 23-year-old has stormed the charts in the last year, with hits such as 'Don't Call Me Up', so it was an absolute pleasure to have Mabel perform along with Louis Tomlinson, Ellie Goulding, Zara Larsson, The Vamps, James Arthur, Lewis Capaldi, Tom Walker and HRVY.

After her hit single 'Don't Call Me Up' stormed the charts and became a powerful anthem for many of her fans, Mabel told Hits Radio presenter Sarah-Jane Crawford just what inspired her for the track.

She said, "It was time to remind myself of who I am and what I’m worth and not let people mess me around."

When Sarah-Jane asked if the person actually did 'call her up', Mabel said, "They did call me up a couple of times, I changed my number though because it’s so satisfying if they call you and it doesn’t go through."

YES GIRL! 🙌

Speaking about her pet hates in a relationship, the 23-year-old revealed, "I’ve figured out quite a few now, I hate it when guys start a conversation with you and then just stop talking and then you never hear from them again. If you take too long to reply when you’ve started the conversation, I’m out. They just wanna know if you’re gonna answer and when someone starts playing games like that, I’m very over you.

"Or if they ask you out and then have no plan and they’re like, ‘What shall we do?’... But you asked me out, so what do you mean what are we."

Take note people! 🙈
