One Direction have stormed in at number one with their official Red Nose Day single ‘One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks).’

Niall, Harry, Louis, Zayn and Liam sold 113,000 copies of their Blondie/The Undertones cover to score the fastest selling song of 2013 so far.

The song, which the boyband performed at The BRIT Awards last week, is 1D’s third number one following in the footsteps of ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ in September 2011 and ‘Little Things’ last October.

Incredibly, One Direction have now bagged six top 10 singles in less than 18 months.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ Thrift Shop (2) and Bauuer’s Harlem Shake (3) are non-movers while Justin Timberlake has climbed 24 spaces to number four. Last week’s number one, Avicii vs Nicky Romero’s ‘I Could Be The One’ slipped to number 5.

Over on the album chart, fresh from her BRIT Awards double Emeli Sande reclaimed the top spot with ‘Our Version Of Events.’

Fellow BRITs winners Mumford & Sons and Ben Howard both enjoyed massive sales surges (Howard was 583% up on the previous week) to enter at 2 and 4 respectively.
