RAYE spills the tea on a VERY exciting Jax Jones collab coming soon 🙌

RAYE joined Jordan Lee on the Evening show tonight (23rd January) and she couldn't contain her excitement at all the new music she's hoping to release this year. The 22-year-old singer is known for featuring on some fantastic tunes including 'By Your Side' with Jonas Blue, 'Stay (Don't Go Away)', with David Guetta, and of course the huge hit 'You Don't Know Me' with Jax Jones.

And now, RAYE has teased a brand new single with Jax Jones, which he has already played at some gigs. When Jordan questioned RAYE about the song called 'Tequila', she couldn't deny it will be a huge tune, and it's out soon!

"All I can say is, you know, sooner rather than later," RAYE teased, leaving us really wanting to know more! She went on to reveal she is very excited about the song, admitting it's only the second song they've written together.

"It's like the only other record we've written!" she told Jordan, whispering, "Jax and I are both quite excited about that one."

As well as working with Jax Jones, RAYE has also been working with superstar DJ David Guetta recently. RAYE admitted she couldn't believe it when the DJ played their new song at a gig in France, in front of 70,000 people, just hours after they'd finished recording it. RAYE flew from Ibiza to France on David Guetta's private jet and told us, "It's a joke, it was so magical!"

During the interview, she also talked about breaking the boundaries of the stereotypical songwriter - who has a guitar in hand at all times. "I feel like there's no boundaries in today's world," RAYE explained. "People let me in and that's when you get the best out of me."

RAYE went on to reveal that she has some SERIOUS records to come this year - including some collabs, and she'll be back to talk about them on Hits Radio, so watch this space!

RAYE joined us at Hits Live last year, where she told us how she's figured out what her sound is going to be. "Consistency is so key, especially when I am mixed race," RAYE explained, "I love dance music, I love EDM, I love hip hop, I love R'n'B, I love pop, so it's been so tricky pinning myself down."
