The Vamps were in high spirits as they joined us backstage ahead of the performance at Hits Live Birmingham on Saturday 4th May, along with Louis Tomlinson, Ellie Goulding, The Vamps, James Arthur, Lewis Capaldi, Zara Larsson, Tom Walker, Mabel and HRVY.

The Vamps, made up of Bradley Simpson, James McVey, Connor Ball and Tristan Evans, have some amazing hits of their own, including the likes of 'Can We Dance', 'Middle Of The Night', and 'All Night', so we were intrigued to know which other artists they like.

When asked who would be their headline act if they had their very own music festival, the boys had some very interesting choices... and very different!

Tristan said heavy metal band Metallica, whereas James would like pop star Taylor Swift. Connor chose The Arctic Monkeys, with Bradley asking for Panic! at the Disco.

As well as this, Tristan also revealed which song he wish the band had written, admitting 'Happy Birthday' would be his choice.

The lads also revealed that they once got their dads on stage to perform with them! Brad revealed, "We’ve already done this one, so we did, on I think our second tour, we did the dad band, and we went on stage for one song. And they came on and they played a tune and they mimed the song and they did a cracking job, they were great."

They even added that they'd love to collaborate with Hits Radio favourites Little Mix, with Brad adding, "Yeah we’d love to do a collab with them, they’re very, very good singers, lovely girls."
