Tom Grennan reveals he wants to work with Harry Styles 👀

Don't we all Tom?!

Fleur East caught up with chart-topper Tom Grennan before the BRIT Awards 2021 and the singer revealed he'd love to work with 'Fine Line' singer Harry Styles.

The former One Direction star has been nominated for British Single at this year's BRIT Awards for his Summer 2020 hit 'Watermelon Sugar'. He has previously won a BRIT for Best Video for his solo debut single 'Sign of the Times', released in 2017.

Harry is the first member of One Direction to win a BRIT Award for his solo efforts whilst Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik have all previously missed out on

Tom released his most recent album 'Evering Road' in March this year, featuring popular singles 'Little Bit of Love' and Ella Henderson collaboration 'Let's Go Home Together', which was written by Ella and James Arthur.

Tom revealed he was already back in the studio to work on more music and his third album, despite only releasing 'Evering Road' earlier this year. He said: "I'm writing and riding the wave that I'm on at the moment. It's been a pretty crazy few months from getting a Number 1 record to 'A Little Bit of Love' blowing up. I think I'm in the eye of the storm."

He added: "We can't gig, we can't go out and do promotion, so I'm watching from my house which is a pretty strange thing. But it is nice to be back in the studio and be back with people again. I feel very creative at the moment."

The Bedford-born singer also revealed that he moved back in with his parents during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic during a year break from work.

Tom said: “I finished 'Evering Road' before the lockdown so I had a year off, but it allowed me to breathe and find what my demons really were. I moved back with my mum and dad and sorted both my mental and physical health out, it’s been a blessing disguise. I feel guilty saying that because so many people have gone through it really bad, but for me it’s been a time that I needed.

“I can’t take anything for granted, no-one can, we’ve learnt that in this time. This music won’t last forever so I’m going to ride it, have fun and see what happens.

Moving back in with your parents is tough for anyone, but Tom insisted he enjoyed the experience.

He continued: "We're a pretty tight unit anyway, but I moved out when I was 18 and my brother is five years younger, so I was moving back in with a young man. He has his own routines and I remember I left toothpaste on the sink and he wasn't in to that at all!

"I'm not living there anymore but it was great for the time. I never thought I'd get to do that again so it was really nice."

We can't wait to see what Tom does next!
