Earlier this year 90s pop group Steps announced a brand new single, album and tour to celebrate their 20th anniversary.

Here are 20 things that turn 20 this year...

Harry Potter

J K Rowling published her first Harry Potter book in 1997. It went on to become a bestseller around the world and spawned a huge film franchise and theme parks.

Steps

Steps' debut single '5, 6, 7, 8' was released and went to number 14 in the UK.

All Saints 'Never Ever'

'Never Ever' was the second single from the girls of their debut album, sitting in the top ten for a total of 15 weeks.

Titanic

Not only was the film Titanic released starring Leonardo diCaprio and Kate Winslet, but Celine Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On' reigned high in the charts.

This teen horror saw teenagers stalked by a killer after trying to cover up a car crash they were involved with. The film starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Prinze, Jr.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

While Sarah Michelle Gellar saw success on the big screen she also starred in this successful TV series which lasted for seven seasons.

The Fifth Element

Now a TV favourite, this film was released in the cinema in 1997 and was a financial success.

Channel 5 Launch

From a time when you could count TV channels on one hand Channel 5 was launched by the Spice Girls, Julia Bradbury and Tim Vine.
