First Acts Confirmed For Reading & Leeds 2015
Who will be performing at the dual hosted event?
Metallica have been unveiled as the first blockbuster headliner of Reading & Leeds 2015.
The heavy metal monoliths will take to the Main Stage at the dual hosted event in what’s set to be a pivotal moment of the festival season.
Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich said: “We are obviously beyond thrilled to be returning to headline the magnificent and mighty double shot at Reading & Leeds for the fourth time. We are practically the house band. Bring it!”
Also confirmed in the first wave of artists are Californian post-hardcore heroes Pierce The Veil and legendary Swedish punks Refused who have the honour of headlining The Pit Stage.
Vic Fuentes from Pierce The Veil enthused: "We've been dying to do these Festivals ever since we started touring in the UK! It's such an honour to be a part of something that people wait all year round to see.”
Jamie T, drum n’ bass star Wilkinson, hip-hop act Run The Jewels and purveyors of epic soundscapes Manchester Orchestra.
Reading and Leeds Festival take place at Richfield Avenue, Reading and Bramham Park, Leeds from 28th to 30th August 2015.
