Glastonbury Headliners Already Booked For 2014

Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis says he has already booked the headline acts for 2014.

This year’s event came to a sensational climax last night when Mumford & Sons topped the Pyramid Stage bill after Arctic Monkeys and The Rolling Stones headlined on Friday and Saturday.

As 150,000 revellers head home after a weekend of musical brilliance, 77-year-old Eavis already has next year’s event firmly in his sights.

Explaining to reporters that choosing headliners is a difficult task, Eavis said: "There aren't many left... There were maybe a dozen headliner potentials so we're running out of headliners but we got the last three for next year."

Quizzed about whether any of the acts are veterans like The Rolling Stones, Eavis responded: "Ever so slightly, yeah."

Enthusing about Mick Jagger and co., Eavis continued to NME: “The Stones were the best thing - it had to be, didn't it, 43 years of me, 50 years of them, we finally come together and we're on the same page at last.

"Mick Jagger's energy, leading that band with such a passion and so much skill was absolutely amazing. Seeing him moving, I've never seen anything like it. I'm quite a bit older but I couldn't go like that - and I can keep going, but not at that pace!"

Other acts that performed across the Glastonbury weekend included Professor Green, Chase & Status, Example, Rita Ora, Azealia Banks and Dizzee Rascal.
