Groove Armada and actor/DJ Idris Elba are among the new line-up additions for Good Times In The Park next month.

LTJ Bukem, Toddla T, Fabio and Grooverider complete the second wave of additions to the Norman Jay MBE curated event.

Already confirmed event are Chaka Khan, The Brand New Heavies, The Cuban Brothers, David Rodigan, Dub Pistols, Ms Dynamite, Goldie, Jazzie B, Secretsundaze and Terry Farley.

Taking place at Wormwood Scrubs Park in London on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September, this event marks the first time that Good Times has appeared outside of the Notting Hill Carnival in their illustrious 30 year history.

Groove Armada said: “We’re really chuffed at being able to perform for Norman at his first festival.

“The spirit of a festival starts with the crew of people who are involved in it, and that’s the lovely thing about Good Times In The Park, as Norman has people he grew up with and who were a part of the scene involved. That’s where the love and good vibes come from.”

They added: “There’s a real gap in the market for a London festival like this, with friends and love and the heart of it, as well as raising money for great charities.”

Idris Elba enthused: “Norman is an absolute gent. When he asked me to play at his festival I was well happy!

“Good Times on a festival scale, in West London is going to be really special, especially as I haven’t been able to perform in the UK this summer. A banging weekend and I am so happy to be a part of it – boom!” Good Times In The Park is raising money for six key charities close to Norman’s heart: Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, Damilola Taylor Trust, Prostate Cancer UK, Coppafeel!, the Knight's Foundation and Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre.
