The internet reacts to the hottest day of the year
It didn't take long for #hottestdayoftheyear to start trending.
Yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far and of course that was a perfect opportunity for everyone to get excited on Twitter.
Quickly #hottestdayoftheyear became a trending topic with people across the UK posting photos of them struggling with every day activities in this extremely hot weather.
Even animals big and small, up and down the country were treated to ice lollies to cool them down as the temperatures soared.
Some people were just taking it in their stride.
And the trusty Very British Problems account was there with it's usual satirical look on British life.
Of course there's always someone to put it into perspective with one Australian saying, 'You Brits, here in Oz it was 25 yesterday, and it's the middle of winter'.
Although everyone was hot, the Royal Marines Reserve Merseyside tweeted a photo of them in Norway where there's rather a lot of snow!
