The Modfather himself Paul Weller is confirmed to play a secret show at The Great Escape festival in Brighton this week.

Amazon Front Row Live: The Secret Show will see the 56-year-old music legend play an as-yet-undisclosed venue on Saturday 16th May as part of the festival.

Paul will be debuting tracks from his new album Saturns Pattern at the ultra-intimate gig ahead of its release two days later.

“I like the fact that The Great Escape showcases new and fresh music across all venues in Brighton as a festival,” said Paul. "It’s always good to perform in smaller venues and I’m looking forward to playing some new tracks."

The performance will be filmed and made available exclusively to Amazon Prime members through Prime Instant Video

To be in with a chance of being among the few hundred in attendance, wristband holders can apply for a ticket through the festival's website now.

With over 400 acts playing 35 venues around Brighton, The Great Escape takes place from Thursday 14th to Saturday 16th May 2015.

Paul also plays the penultimate Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury on Sunday 28th June shortly before headliners The Who close the festival.
