Rammstein Headline Sunday Night At Download!
The German industrial metallers join Iron Maiden
Easily one of the greatest live acts on the planet, Rammstein, have been confirmed as the second headliner at Download Festival 2013.
The German industrial metallers will bring their pyrotechnics strewn show to Donington on the Sunday night (16th June), joining Saturday night’s headliners Iron Maiden.
Typically nonchalant, when asked to comment about their slot, Rammstein said: “It’s only a festival… not a moon landing.”
Andy Copping, VP of Promotions at Live Nation, is understandably a tad more enthusiastic, commenting: “We’re very excited to welcome Rammstein to Donington for the very first time.
“They are an epic live act and a perfect Sunday headliner to cap off what is shaping up to be yet another fantastic Download festival.”
Their headline slot will mark the first time Rammstein have played in the UK since their spring arena tour earlier this year.
Download Festival takes place at Donington Park from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th June 2013. Tickets go on sale from kerrangradio.co.uk/tickets at 9am next Friday (28th September).
