Brooklyn Nine-Nine to air one-off special ahead of final episode
Before we bid farewell to the fictional 99th precinct 😭

Back in February 2021, Brooklyn Nine-Nine bosses shared the sad news that the show will officially be coming to an end following season eight. But, it's not all bad news, as it has now been revealed that prior to the finale episode, fans will be treated to a one-off special!
Ahead of final episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, E4 is set to air the one-off hour-long special episode titled Goodbye Brooklyn Nine-Nine, featuring show favourites such as Andy Samberg, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Lo Truglio and Andre Braugher.
As well as the special episode featuring contributions from the starring actors, co-creator Dan Goor will also appear, as well as famous super fans Nish Kumar and Catherine Bohart - sharing their thoughts on their favourite moments from the fictional 99th precinct.
Speaking of the Brooklyn Nine-Nine special, commissioning editor Jonathan Rothery hinted that fans "won't want to miss this", gushing: "Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a much-loved part of E4's schedule and we're delighted to have commissioned this special from Wise Owl Films to say a fitting goodbye, as we dissect why this show is so hugely (and rightly) celebrated.
"It's one that all B99 fans won't want to miss."
Mark Robinson, the executive producer for Wise Owl Films, praised Brooklyn Nine-Nine as "one of the funniest American comedies of recent years," making "comedy history", while elaborating: "In years to come we'll look back on it as one of the most ground-breaking in terms of its storylines and characters."
Back in June, show stars such as Andy Samberg (who plays Jake Peralta), Jo Lo Truglio (who plays Charles Boyle) and Terry Crews (who plays Terry Jeffords) paid tribute to the show, and the amazing memories they had made while creating the sitcom.
When will the final series of Brooklyn Nine-Nine air?
In the UK, season eight of Brooklyn Nine-Nine began on E4 on Wednesday 20th April 2022, with a double bill of the first two episodes (meanwhile, over in the US, season eight began back in August 2021).
