The seventh celebrity to take part in next year's Dancing On Ice has been confirmed as Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton. The singer was confirmed this morning (4th October) on Good Morning Britain and will join previously announced celebrities, Gemma Collins, Richard Blackwood, James Jordan, Brian McFadden, Saira Khan and Ryan Sidebottom in the line-up.

Speaking about joining the show, Melody said, "I guess the cat's out of the bag. I'm so excited, I can't wait to see you and I can't wait to do some skating for you!"

As a Pussycat Doll, Melody was part of one of the biggest girl groups around at the time, having hits like 'When I Grow Up', 'Don't Cha', and 'Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)'. Since splitting back in 2010, the girls have had individual success, Nicole Scherzinger has taken part in the US TV show, Dancing with the Stars, as well as being a judge on The X Factor. Ashley Roberts is taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing. And before Dancing On Ice, Melody has been working on her solo music as well as appearing on series 2 of Celebs Go Dating which aired last year.

Also, recently confirmed for the Dancing On Ice line-up is international cricketer Ryan Sidebottom. On joining the show, Ryan said, "I’m immensely excited. It’s obviously something totally different, massively out of my comfort zone. I’m just going to enjoy the ride, I don’t take myself too seriously. I’m going to embrace it, enjoy it, and have a laugh and a giggle along the way."

Hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are confirmed to present the show once again when it returns in the new year - although a date has yet to be confirmed. Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and Jason Gardiner are also all signed up to return to the judging panel.
