Cheryl CONFIRMS appearance on new talent show

She will join Matthew Morrison and Oti Mabuse

Rumours have been rife as to which TV talent show Cheryl Tweedy will be appearing on this year. After months of rumours which included both The X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing, the former Girls Aloud star has today confirmed she will actually be appearing on brand new show The Greatest Dancer.

Cheryl took to her Instagram Story to confirm the exciting news with her fans. In a video where she can be seen walking towards the camera, Cheryl said, "So I've got some exciting news! I am going to be joining a new show called The Greatest Dancer for BBC 1. I am going to be joining Oti and Matthew as a dance captain and Alesha and Jordan are going to be hosting. Stay tuned for more news on my Instagram."

The show, which is created by Simon Cowell's company Syco, will feature Cheryl, Glee actor Matthew Morrison and Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse as 'Dance Captains'.

Unveiling the brand new panel, the official Instagram page for The Greatest Dancer wrote, 'The wait is OVER!! We’re super excited to reveal our #DanceCaptain line up for the #GreatestDancer!! 💃🏻🕺💃🏾 It’s none other than @cherylofficial @otimabuse @matthew.morrison 🎉🎉🎉'. sic

It has also been confirmed that Diversity star Jordan Banjo and Britain's Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon will be on hand to present the show when it airs next year.

Speaking about her involvement in the new show, Cheryl said, "I’m looking for acts with real passion, who are going to push boundaries and give it their all, no matter what challenges are thrown at them.

"From my own dance background, I know the dedication and commitment dancing takes, I can’t wait to get started."

The news comes just days after reports suggested that Cheryl could be appearing on this year's Strictly Come Dancing, following her recent spit from Liam Payne.
