Miley Cyrus has dropped a pretty large hint that she'll be taking part in the upcoming series of Black Mirror. The 26-year-old, who has enjoyed a career in both acting and singing since the tender age of nine-years-old, was asked in a recent interview whether she'd be taking on a role in the hugely popular series.

Speaking to Howard Stern on his radio show, she became coy when asked directly about the rumours, and refused to confirm her involvement - but also didn't deny it, either, and dropped hints that the rumours are, in fact, true.

After her older sister Brandi hinted that she could be taking part in the show, Miley said to Howard on the radio, "If you guess it, then I will shake my head 'yes'," with him confirming that she had nodded.

She added, "I’m really actually excited for everyone to watch the 'head shaking' project we said 'yes' to. The minute I say I never want to do something again, all of a sudden, there I am. It was the first time I’ve left somewhere feeling really proud of my work, but you know if I like it that might mean it’s horrible."

She also revealed that she'd been filming the project during the devastation of the Malibu fires, which destroyed her home, saying that her role had a "lot of different sides" and that there was "a lot of dynamic".

She said, "There’s a lot of dimension to it, and actually it was while the devastation of Malibu was happening, and it was a really weird learning experience for me, because I was so far from home and the show is already really dark, and it’s already kind of eerie when you’re there the whole time.

"But I learned a lot about myself and I think I was able to kind of use that and put that into it."

Black Mirror's series five does not yet have a release date.
