Good news for Strictly Come Dancing fans who will miss seeing Ranvir Singh on their screens this weekend, as it was announced this morning that the presenter will be temporarily replacing Lorraine Kelly on her ITV show next week.

Following her elimination from Strictly on the weekend, Ranvir joined Lorraine this morning (16th December), to discuss her time on the dancing show with partner Giovanni Pernice.

After discussing her time on Strictly, Lorraine shared the news, she said, “Next week, great news, we’re going to be swapping chairs! You’re going to be here. Just fabulous. Thank you!”

Lorraine then added, “I shall be at home with a cup of tea, watching my Ranvir. You betcha!”

The Good Morning Britain presenter joked, “I better not mess it up then, now that the boss is watching!” which was met with reassurance from Lorraine saying, “You’ll be brilliant on this show, you’ll be fantastic. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday next week.”

Since appearing on Strictly Come Dancing, Ranvir and her partner, Giovanni’s relationship has sparked rumours that the pair are dating.

Speaking to her GMB colleagues earlier this week, Ranvir explained that her and Giovanni are just friends.

The presenter has made it clear that they have developed a deep friendship over the past few weeks after spending most days rehearsing together.

“We experienced something quite deep and quite intense actually and that’s a very special thing. So of course, we’ll stay friends, I adore him actually. He’s a sweet little soul.”

On the first ever series of Strictly back in 2001, news reader Natasha Kaplinsky and professional dancer Brendan Cole were paired together.

Despite both being in other relationships at the time, both Natasha and Brendan called off their romances and started dating after the series finished.

When boxer Joe Calzaghe appeared on the show in 2009, he announced to the press that his relationship with his partner Jo-Emma Larvin had come to an end, just one week into his Strictly journey.

After her relationship with Joe Calzaghe fell apart, Kristina later met another Strictly contestant, England rugby ace Ben Cohen.

Things are going well however, the pair now share a daughter together called Milena and are in a happy relationship.

Kara Tointon and Artem Chigvintsev

After her split from Joe Swash, actress Kara Tointon appeared on the 2010 series of Strictly and mended her broken heart with a little help from professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev.

Despite this, things didn't work out for the couple.

Rachel Riley and Pasha Kovalev

Despite this, the couple ended their relationship in August 2016.

Dianne Buswell and Joe Sugg

After weeks of rumours, Joe Sugg appeared to confirm his relationship with Strictly Come Dancing partner Dianne Buswell with a photo on Instagram, the caption read, 'I may not have won the glitter ball, but I've won something a million times more special.'

Giovanni Pernice and Ashley Roberts

Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton

Despite taking a long time to confirm their romance, Stacey and Kevin now seem very happy together, with Kevin announcing back in March 2021 that he'd quit the show.
