Fresh off the back of the Celebrity Big Brother final, Bit On The Side presenter Rylan Clark-Neal has announced he is going to be a judge on the panel as the UK chooses it's 2018 Eurovision Song Contest entry.

Rylan, who is a self confessed Eurovision superfan, announced the exciting new role during an appearance on Loose Women today (Tuesday 6th February).

Rylan will be joined on the panel alongside Rochelle Humes and McFly singer Tom Fletcher, as the UK entry for this year's contest is decided.

Six hopefuls for the UK will perform in front of the panel, including show host Mel Giedroyc and former Eurovision winner Mans Zelmerlow.

The show, which is set to air live on TV, will show all six hopefuls compete for votes for their chance to represent the UK at the contest in Portugal later in the year.

This year's hopefuls range from a former Britain's Got Talent finalist, two contestants on The Voice, as well a woman who's previously been a backing singer in the contest.

It was Portugal's Salvador Sobral who won the contest, picking up an impressive 758 points after performing his track 'Amar Pelos Dois'.

Taking place in Lisbon, this year's Eurovision Song Contest is on Saturday 12th May.
