We can't all have perfect eyesight, but we can pretend by wearing contact lenses.

Here are 17 things you'll only understand if you choose to wear lenses rather than glasses.

1) That pain when you get something in your eye - it's just an eyelash - argh!

2) Taking out your lenses and your friends all go "ewww".

3) Your fingernails are too long and you poke yourself in the eye.

4) You go to take your lenses out only to realise you've already taken them out and put your finger in your eye for no reason

5) You take them out to go swimming and then instantly regret not having goggles because you can't see a thing.

6) You drop your lens and can't find it anywhere, it doesn't help that you can't see.

7) You take your lenses out only to realise you haven't got your glasses.

8) You wear your glasses for one day and everyone says you should wear them more often.

10) You accidentally mix them up and wonder why you can't see anything.

11) You think you're wearing disposable lenses so you throw them away, they were actually monthlies.

12) You accidentally fall asleep with them in and wake up thinking you've miraculously been cured - but then your eyes!

13) Realising you've forgotten your lens case.

14) Wearing just one lens because the other one has ripped and you haven't got a spare.

15) Taking them out after cutting onions. The pain!
