Boston United are expecting strong support at Alfreton Town in the quarter final of the play offs.

Many fans are making the journey there as the Pilgrims continue their efforts to try and secure promotion to the National League. It's thought around 500 fans will attend.

If Boston United win tonight they'll meet Scunthorpe United in the semi final on Saturday.

The match must be settled today with penalties if the two sides can't be separated after extra time.

Two years ago, Boston missed out in the playoff final - 'Up the Pilgrims' Podcast host Damian Wells thinks they stand a better chance this year.

"There is something different this year, the team seems better. We've got a more professional set up and I believe that's going to help the team move forward."

He says they are ready for promotion:

"We need to finish the ground off - we have a fantastic facility there. Other teams like coming to Boston United and playing there because of the facilities.

"We've got some good young players coming through as well.

"The whole set up is looking very positive at the moment, I think there's some good times ahead."
