Large police operation in Lincolnshire after man shot in the leg

There's a large police presence around a village in East Lindsey after reports a man was shot at in the early hours of this morning.

Lincolnshire Police received reports a man suffered injuries to his leg after being shot with a shotgun, causing pellets to become embedded in his leg.

These injuries are not thought to be serious and the man, aged in his 30s, is in hospital for treatment.

Armed officers were called to Thorpe Bank, Little Steeping, at around 1.15am on Saturday 25 May.

A police cordon remains in place at and around a house on the street and a number of police officers are involved with the enquiry. Detectives say people can expect to see a lot of activity in the Little Steeping and Spilsby areas as investigations take place.

Lincolnshire Police say they are looking for three men over the incident

A police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for help from the public and are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything that could help with the investigation.
