INQUEST: Man unlawfully killed two-year-old daughter before driving his car into a lorry on Lincolnshire road - killing himself

An Inquest has heard how a two-year-old Leicestershire girl was unlawfully killed by her father who then drove head on into a lorry on a Lincolnshire road - killing himself.

It was Father’s Day last year that 35-year-old Ashley Henry crossed lanes into oncoming traffic on Main Road at Anwick near Sleaford.

The car - in which Oria was travelling in - was described as half its size by officers at the scene and a pathologist said her injuries were ‘extensive and would not be survivable’.

The inquest heard from the first officers at the scene who said there were 'no signs' of braking from the 35-year-old when he crossed lanes into oncoming traffic.

Officers investigating the incident said the only reasonable conclusion to this collision was a ‘deliberate act on Ashley’s part’

The coroner ruled Ashley’s death as a suicide and Oria’s as an unlawful killing.
