Image released after unprovoked attack in Hackney

Police investigating a serious unprovoked assault in Hackney have released an image of a man they're trying to find

It's reported the 27 year old victim was attacked from behind as he walked along Pownall Road with a friend on 11th November.

The man punched his victim to the floor saying "do you think you're hard?" before leaving the scene.

The victim went to hospital for treatment to cuts to his face and a broken eye socket. Due to the severity of the injuries it is suspected the suspect may have used a knuckleduster.

Officers from the Central East Command Unit have conducted various enquiries and are now turning to the public for help identifying the man.
