A brand new pet hopsital has opened its doors in Manchester after an 18 month fundraising appeal.

The Manchester PDSA Pet Wellbeing Centre is on Redgate Lane in Gorton and will offer free and low cost treatments to animals in need.

The centre's been based in Old Trafford for around 40 years and desperately needed an upgrade.

This new hospital has been under construction for the last year.

Hero British Transport Police Dog Mojo, who was awarded a PDSA Order of Merit for his work following the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing, joined the charity’s veterinary staff to officially cut the ribbon.
