Summer has arrived! It’s time for BBQs, beer gardens, trips to the seaside and picnics in the sunshine….fingers crossed the weather will - eventually - be lovely.

Being the eternal optimists that we are, we’re sure that there will be days and days of beautiful sunshine ahead, so we’ve put together a little list of summer date inspiration….

**1. The Seaside You're never too old for the sea-side, it's a must. Arcades, funfairs, donuts and fish and chips – so you’re not 12 anymore but a bit of nostalgia does wonders for romance. Brighton and Great Yarmouth are a great option, but if you fancy something a bit quieter and more relaxed, St Ives or Whitby is beautiful.

2. Drive-in movie Drive-in movies are pretty hard to find these days – they tend to be as part of a festival or event, but they are incredibly romantic so if you can’t find one, you can always DIY. Charge up your laptop, pack some snacks and a blanket and head to a quiet spot in the countryside. Sitting in with a DVD or Netflix just wont cut it after this, sorry! 3. BBQ We’re in Britain; if the sun is shining we should really have a BBQ right? Both of you can contribute to the food supplies (whilst showing off your incredible cookery skills) and bond over burgers, potato salad and it means there are an extra pair of hands cleaning up too! Make a Spotify playlist of your faves which will make a great talking point and get your finest plastic plates.

4. Picnic If you need an excuse then it's National Picnic Week from June 11th - June 19th. Celebrate by packing up a hamper with some favourites and pick a quiet spot.
