A 66-year-old woman was dragged to the ground and robbed in Bolton. The woman was walking back to her car after shopping at Morrisons at 8.45pm on Wednesday 29 April 2015 when she was approached by a man. He grabbed her bag and pulled her to the ground before dragging her along the floor. The offender managed to take the bag and run off in the direction of Victory Street. He is described as being 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, wore a dark coloured hooded top and had a scarf covering his face. Detective sergeant Scott Brady said: “The woman was walking in the car park of the Mornington Road store when she was targeted. She has been determined this man would not take her belongings and tried to keep hold of her back. “However, the man pulled at the bag with such force, he dragged her along the ground before she had to let go. “I am keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the robbery, especially two youths who came to her aid and chased the man off. “Anyone with information should phone police on 0161 856 5761 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
