Medical experts are deciding whether a drug currently helping two children from Cheshire battle a fatal disease

should be made available on the NHS.

Ollie and Amelia Carrol from Poynton both have Battens disease which causes a child to lose their ability to walk, talk, eat and drink.

A treatment trial they're taking part in at Great Ormond Street Hopsital is dramatically slowing the effects down - but could soon be stopped due to funding.

A decision is expected over the next few weeks.
