We all want to look our best at a festival – there’s something about a festival where you can try out all your out-there looks that just aren’t ok at home. Here’s some of our top tips to keep you looking fleek all weekend…
Batiste Baby!
Dry shampoo is the king of festivals – keep that weave looking fresh all weekend, we recommend spraying a healthy layer before you go to sleep (if you remember!) or as soon as you get up, then you can let it soak in for a while. Or, if you’re on a budget, talk is your best friend!
Talcum powder is cheap as chips and your mum definitely has some lying about somewhere, just de-pot some into a travel bottle and you’ve got 2-in-1 hair saviour and makeup setting powder.
Baby Wipes
Don’t scrimp on wipes. Nothing is better than a baby wipe shower when you’re feeling grotty, not only are they great for makeup but they’re also great for getting rid of all that pesky mud that happens to get absolutely EVERYWHERE!
Waterproof Mascara
This guy will help you get through the weekend, you don’t know if you’re going to be drenched in rain or sun, so be prepared and stop that dreaded run (We’re a poet and we didn’t know it!) plus we know you’ll be in that sweaty tent having a boogie and no one wants to look like a panda, do they? whilst we’re talking about waterproof makeup, get as much as possible. What do you have to lose?
Waterproof eyeshadow and foundation will just make your life better. One with SPF in you say? Now you’re getting there!
Argan Oil
This bad boy is the saviour – if you’ve got untameable hair, argan oil is a great way to give your hair a new lease of life. Dry shampoo the top and oil the bottom and you’ll be onto a winner, there’ll be frizz no more!
Headgear
Unfortunately, not all of us can get away with taming the frizz or the grease and we need a helping hand from our accessories. The classic flower headband is always great, but what about glitter roots or a crown braid? These simple tricks will give your look some edge whilst secretly hiding the dreaded grease!
Glitter
Whether its going on your eyes, your lips, your cheeks or your hair it does nothing but wonders and gives you the WOW factor whilst hiding anything you might not want drawing attention to.
Mini's
If you can get travel size products or testers of your favourite products, then they’ll easily fit into your bumbag or backpack without you having to lug around the full size ones.
