Boy's mammoth bike ride rakes in thousands for charity

A Stockport schoolboy's ridden coast to coast for Key103's Cash for Kids

A 10-year-old boy from Stockport's spent four days on his bike to raise more than eight thousand pounds to buy bikes for children who can't afford them.

George Hales rode 170 miles from Morecambe to Bridlington after deciding he wanted to help children less fortunate than himself.

The money he's raised is coming to Key 103's Cash for Kids as part of this year's Mission Christmas Appeal and is enough to buy 80 bikes for disadvantaged children across Greater Manchester.
