'Caitlin's Campaign' for Graduated Driver Licensing
It's hoped a change in the law could save lives

The mother of a teenager killed in a crash is making a heartfelt plea for the Government to introduce safety restrictions on young drivers after they pass their test.
Sharron Huddleston's 18-year-old daughter Caitlin was killed in a crash on the A595 in Cumbria in July 2017, along with her friend Skye Mitchell, 18, who was driving.
The Coroner ruled 'inexperience' behind the wheel was a factor and has written to the Department for Transport calling for Graduated Driver Licensing to be introduced.

Graduated driver licensing (GDL) is a system that allows new drivers to build up their driving skills and experience gradually, in well-defined, structured stages. Various forms of GDL are already in place in many countries worldwide.
