Man raises 10k in one weekend

Bosses are the Christie in Manchester say they're overwhelmed by the amount of support they've received in the aftermath of the fire.

The blaze destroyed vital research at the hospital back in April.

Since then a number of fundraising events have raked in thousands of pounds, including one at Tesco in Blackley which raised 10 grand in just one weekend. It was organised by employee Stewart Gordon-Cole who's 21 and from Moston after he underwent cancer treatment at the Christie.
